A Voice from the Sacristy (Easter Sunday, 31 March 2024)

Join Nathan Hoff and Mandy Smith for A Voice from the Sacristy. The Gospel Reading for Easter Sunday is from Mark 16.1-8. The theme for this week is preaching apocalyptically to oneself before others and is taken from the fourth of six stanzas from the sacristy prayer at Ridderholmen Church in Stockholm, Sweden:
Preach the Word rightly;
Open the eyes of the ignorant;
Arouse sinners from beds of ease;
Tear the cloak from the hypocrite;
Lift the burden from the heavy laden, 
for God hath no pleasure in the death of a sinner.
