Some where along the way in my years of preaching Judy reminded me to trust in the power of the Word the Scripture I am I preaching on and let that take on the weight of my what I was preaching. I am tempted to put pressure on myself to be entertaining (perhaps because I am an enneagram 7--I want this to be fun for everyone) or to depend on my preaching instead of the Word of God.
I like your introduction Nathatn to “A voice from the Sacristy” from you and Dave, speaking to shepherds who need to hear the Good Shepherd’s voice (heart for us). PS I remember reading Keith Miller author of “Taste of New Wine” in the 70’s describing the sacristy as the locker room, :)
I love that Joe. Judy's word on the Word is so important. What a great thought about the sacristy--the locker room. We have some exciting plans ahead for this weekly podcast. Stay tuned :)
