The Moravian Daily Text for today is from Deuteronomy 1.31, “You saw how the Lord your God carried you, just as one carries a child all the way that you travelled.”

Here is my Shepherd’s Voice for today:
Beloved, I have carried you as a mother carries a child—all the way.
Through your birth and re-birth by water and the word
Through the mobilities of childhood
Through the hypocrisies of youth
Through the insecurities of young adulthood
Through the immaturities of early marriage
Through the fears and regrets of fatherhood
Through the grasping and proving of vocational ministry
Through your woundings
Through your doubts
Through your rebellions
Through your resistance
Through seasons of kicking and screaming
Through seasons of peace and joy
Summer and winter and springtime and harvest
I have carried you all the way that you have travelled, and I will carry you to the end.
