We just finished a series on attachment at Trinity. Here were the texts and topics:
Attachment—God’s Eternal Plan (Garden story) Genesis 3.1-13
Absent Attachment (Tamar’s story) 2 Samuel 13.15-22
Present Attachment (Hagar’s story) Genesis 16.1-16
Attacked Attachment (Jeremiah’s story) Jeremiah 20.1-6
Healthy Attachment (Philippian girl’s story) Acts 16.16-34
Artificial Attachment (Samson’s story) Judges 16.1-6
Real Attachment (Paul’s story) Philippians 3.1-12
I preached most of these except the one on Healthy Attachment from July 27th. Kierra, our youth and family ministry director, preached that one. I just got the chance to catch up and watch the whole message, and would strongly urge you to do the same. Here you will find such compassion and clarity on a very important issue. Kierra faces hard issues head on, but hopefully. The healing love of God shines through her words. I have attached a link to the message starting at the sermon. This is everything I wanted to say during this whole series of 7 sermons, and she says it straight in 20 minutes. Listen in.
Here were some resources mentioned during the series.
