We have a young man with a family who senses an increasing desire to serve as a pastor in Christ’s Church. Praise God! The Trinity Elders are devoting the next few weeks to pray for discernment so that we may share any advice, support, hesitations, or encouragements with him.
We are also in the season where we are seeking candidates to serve as residential interns at Trinity next year. So, we are also praying to the Lord of the harvest, to raise up workers. More here.
Please join me in prayer, and even commit to praying for this young man, his family, and others that God may call into vocational ministry:
Loving God,
Is it I, Lord?
Are you calling me (or him or her) to a ministry vocation
in your Church as
a pastor, intern, deaconess, or deacon?
We need men and women to help
lead us as Church, Lord.
Speak to us Lord.
Open the minds and hearts of many
men and women to live your Word
and pray for the coming of your Kingdom.
Speak to me (them) Lord.
Plant your Word within me (them) so that
whatever you call me (them) to be or do
I (they) may say “Yes, Here I Am Lord.”
Lord here I am!
What would you like me to
do with my life?
(Pause to listen to God for a moment)
Teach me to do your
will, Lord.
And let your Holy Spirit
guide me!
Also, pray that the Lord would provide financially for this man and his family, if God is indeed calling him.
Jesus’ peace, Nathan
