What is the next step?
After The Common Way Weekend
First, there were far more participants in The Common Way weekend than I expected—almost half of our average Sunday worship attendance. To all who were able to come—thank you! And to the marvelous teachers and testifiers, well done!
From a culture-creation or curation standpoint, this is big for our community. I hope it is clearer what shape we believe God is calling Trinity’s discipleship to inhabit in this neighborhood, and what practices will help us take that shape (formation). Likewise, I hope it is clearer what shape we believe God is NOT calling us to inhabit in this neighborhood (resistance or counter-formation).
Second, if you were unable to join us, but are interested in learning more, here are three ideas:
1. Read up on The Common Way on our webpage.
2. Look out for the video recordings of the talks and testimonies, edited and available soon.
3. Join us next time—probably a smaller group at a home?
Now what?
How can The Common Way be integrated into my day to day life?
1. Sign your name. A roster of those intending to walk in The Common Way will be in the All Saints Prayer Chapel for the next month.
2. Join a Common Way Community. So many options: Theta (HS Seniors-30 years); Telos (Sunday night adult community); Omega (mid-week older adult community); Women’s Bible Study (Tuesday morning or Wednesday night); Oikos (home-based communities). If you have a small group of people who would like to meet at a home or coffee shop or your gym, start an Oikos group. I would LOVE to help.
3. Review the 8 ways, the 8 verses, the 8 hand motions :) Start using the language. In our Theta Community, when we play volleyball, sometimes we give beginners do-overs when they serve badly. We do the hand motion and say, “Way of Grace!” When the language starts to get into our bones, we know it is making a difference.
4. Join us for daily prayer at 8:30 AM or 8:30 PM or start reading the morning and evening Psalms, and sign up for the Ground Up Grace Moravian Daily Text podcast.

This sounds really good!
